Financial Accountant

A well-established business in the industrial sector is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to take ownership of the finance function across multiple entities. This role is ideal for a proactive finance professional who enjoys working independently maintaining strong financial controls and providing meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.
Prepare monthly management accounts including Income Statement Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
Manage intercompany accounts and loan balances
Monitor debtors creditors and cash flow across multiple entities
Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and support working capital management
Manage VAT submissions reconciliations and statutory compliance requirements
Liaise with SARS auditors and external accountants
Assist with annual budgets forecasts and variance analysis
Prepare year-end audit files and supporting documentation
Ensure accurate financial records journals and reporting deadlines are met
BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification (NQF 7)
46 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience within a multi-entity environment
Strong financial reporting and financial controls experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Valid drivers licence and own transport
Experience working with Sage
SAIPA SAICA or SAIBA registration
Experience within the industrial manufacturing engineering logistics or related sectors
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Commercially minded with a proactive approach
Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
