Head of Finance and Funding

A fast-growing organisation is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance & Funding to drive financial leadership and capital strategy. This role is suited to a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can balance high-level strategy with operational delivery particularly within project-based or infrastructure-driven sectors.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance function ensuring strong financial governance cash flow management and performance tracking across multiple projects. A key focus of the role will be leading funding initiatives including supporting equity and debt raising efforts developing financial models and preparing investment-ready documentation. You will serve as the main financial liaison for investors lenders and advisors playing a critical role in managing relationships and driving funding outcomes. Additionally the role involves supporting complex project finance structures while aligning financial strategy with project execution. This position requires a confident leader who can operate both strategically and operationally in a fast-paced growth-focused environment.

Skills & Experience:
Lead group financial management including cash flow oversight and project performance tracking
Support and drive capital raising initiatives across equity and debt funding channels
Develop and manage advanced financial models and investment presentations
Act as the key financial contact for investors lenders and advisory stakeholders
Oversee financial due diligence processes and reporting requirements
Partner with operational teams to align financial strategy with project delivery
58 years experience in project finance investment finance or corporate finance
Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills
Experience in funding transactions and stakeholder engagement
Commercial mindset with strong communication and presentation abilities

Qualification:
CA(SA) qualification preferred
