Playworker required to support and deliver engaging childcare within a fun and inclusive Breakfast club in Reading.
We are seeking an enthusiastic reliable and caring individual to join our team to help create a safe structured and enjoyable environment for children attending our breakfast club school provision.

- Opportunity to work additional hours during school holidays (holiday club)
Hours:
5 hours per week (Term Time)
Working Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 7.45 - 8.45 (Breakfast Club)
School Holidays (optional):
- Up to 40 hours per week
- 08:30 17:30
Pay:
Up to 12.71 per hour (plus holiday pay)

About the Role
At Junior Adventures Group we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Playworker to join our growing team.
You will support the delivery of high-quality childcare in our after school club helping to create a fun safe and engaging environment where children can relax play and develop after their school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of structured and engaging activities including multi-sports games arts & crafts and structured play
- Create a fun inclusive and safe environment for children
- Ensure safeguarding health & safety and company procedures are followed at all times
- Support children during arrival activities and collection
- Follow sign-in and sign-out procedures
- Assist with setting up and packing away play areas and equipment
- Provide refreshments while maintaining hygiene standards
- Complete relevant documentation including accident and incident forms
- Communicate professionally with children parents colleagues and schools
- Carry out basic equipment checks and help maintain a safe environment
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage active participation
- Support first aid and health & safety procedures where required

- Previous experience working with children (desirable)
- A positive enthusiastic and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and able to follow procedures
- Ability to create a safe engaging and inclusive environment
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Ability to build positive relationships with children parents and colleagues
Safeguarding
This role is subject to safeguarding requirements in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

- Provide appropriate documentation for vetting
