Learning Resources, Reprographics and Reading Intervention Assistant
Job Summary
Plympton Academy is seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Learning ResourcesReprographics & Reading Intervention Assistant to join our friendly office team.
This is a varied and impactful role for someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about supporting literacy learning and student success. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing our Learning Resource Centre coordinating reprographics services and delivering reading interventions helping to foster a positive reading culture across the academy.
- Promote LRC (Learning Resources Centre) engagement to maximise student use and support a vibrant reading culture.
- Manage the selection development and procurement of resources.
- Manage the schools reprographics service including daily printing of cover work and teaching materials.
- Support the schools literacy and reading strategy.
- Deliver targeted interventions to improve reading fluency comprehension and confidence.
- Assess and track student progress using appropriate literacy tools.
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Is approachable positive and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Has strong administrative and IT skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Is creative flexible and able to manage a varied workload.
