Senior Game Designer
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Game Designer to work on Hunt: Showdown in our new state-of-the-art office in Frankfurt this role you act as a bridge between all departments involved in the project and help bring complex cutting-edge gameplay and meta features to life. You work closely with design programming QA and other teams to ensure features are implemented smoothly and meet both creative and qualitative goals.
This is a hands-on role. You take ownership of features from concept through implementation and iteration. You are responsible for delivering high-quality gameplay and meta systems and supporting the team with your game design expertise.
What Youll Do
- Take ownership of gameplay and meta features from early concept through to polished in-game implementation.
- Design and support implementation of gameplay and meta systems using proprietary tools.
- Create and maintain asset databases in CRYENGINE to support the teams work.
- Collaborate closely with design programming and QA to build features that meet both creative and technical goals.
- Participate in regular playtests and use feedback to continuously improve your work.
- Iterate on features to achieve a high level of quality usability and player experience.
- Work together with other departments to ensure all required resources are aligned and delivered on time.
- Observe and feedback on the games LIVE sentiment to stay on top of community hot topics drive balancing decisions and help prioritize pain points.
- Share your game design knowledge and support others on the team when needed.
- Contribute ideas to improve tools systems and workflows for everyone.
- Partner with QA to identify debug and resolve issues in gameplay systems.
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience in Game Design within the game industry or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of implementing and balancing gameplay and meta systems.
- Strong Game Design skills in a LIVE/GaaS environment.
- Passion for FPS-Games and Extraction Genre.
- Experience with progression systems economy design and live service balancing.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly both verbally and in documentation.
- Motivation to learn grow and take on new challenges.
- Willingness to relocate to Frankfurt Germany.
Nice To Have (Not Required)
- Advanced knowledge of Office tools (e.g. Excel macros).
- Knowledge of visual scripting tools or programming languages.
- Experience designing AI and working with behavior trees.
- Experience with character or art pipelines and workflows.
- Active player of Hunt: Showdown 1896.
What you can expect from us
We believe in the value of in-person collaboration while also supporting flexibility. Our hybrid working model includes three days per week in the office and the option to work remotely up to two days per week unless role-specific requirements or business needs require you to be on site.
