What Youll DoAs the School Nurse you will:Provide direct nursing care triage and first aid to students in a campus clinic settingAdminister medications and treatments in accordance with physician ordersMaintain accurate and confidential student health and immunization recordsCoordinate required health screenings and communicate follow-up needs with familiesRespond to medical emergencies and support campus safety protocolsServe as a liaison between students families healthcare providers and community agenciesSupport and train staff on student health needs and medical proceduresEnsure compliance with the Scope of Practice established by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and applicable regulations Beyond the ClinicAt ASMSA health and wellness are part of the student this role you will also:Contribute to the wellness component of the residential curriculumProvide health education and guidance to students in individual and group settingsPartner with Counseling Services and Student Life to support student well-beingServe on a collaborative Student Strategies Team focused on student successHelp create a campus culture that prioritizes physical and mental health What You BringGraduate of an accredited nursing programLicensed in the State of Arkansas and in good standing with the Arkansas State Board of NursingPreferred: 2 years of experience in school health pediatrics emergency care triage or a clinical settingStrong communication skills and the ability to work with students families and staffAbility to stay calm and responsive in emergency situationsStrong organizational and documentation skillsComfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team Work EnvironmentSchool clinic and residential campus settingRegular interaction with high school students in both clinical and educational environmentsFast-paced team-oriented environment with meaningful daily impactEvening weekend or on-call needs in support of residential students Why ASMSABe part of one of the nations premier public residential high schoolsWork in a mission-driven environment focused on student successCollaborate with passionate educators and student life professionalsMake a direct impact on students during a critical time in their lives LocationHot Springs Arkansas a vibrant community known for its natural beauty outdoor recreation and strong sense of community.
