Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Policy & Advocacy Officer to join our team and support the development of evidence-based health policy initiatives that drive meaningful outcomes across the healthcare sector.

In this role you will conduct research and analysis of health policies and legislation support advocacy initiatives coordinate projects and engage with a broad range of stakeholders including government agencies community organisations and healthcare partners.

Day to day!

  • Conduct research and analysis of health policy legislation and regulatory developments
  • Prepare policy papers reports recommendations and briefing documents
  • Monitor emerging trends and issues across healthcare and public health sectors
  • Support evidence-based policy development and organisational strategy
  • Assist with advocacy initiatives and policy influence strategies
  • Coordinate engagement activities including meetings with policymakers and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies advocacy groups and community partners
  • Support the planning implementation monitoring and evaluation of clinical governance and policy projects
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
  • Develop presentations educational resources and communication materials
  • Contribute content for newsletters websites and social media platforms
  • Support responses to policy-related enquiries from stakeholders and the broader community

Lets talk about you!

You will hold a Bachelors degree in Public Health Public Policy Health Administration or a related field along with 2 - 3 years experience in health policy advocacy project coordination or a similar area. You will bring strong research analytical and problem-solving skills along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities and the capability to translate complex policy information into clear practical insights. You will be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and have experience engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
