Were recruiting a Project Manager to drive delivery across our Families First Programme coordinating multiple work-streams strengthening governance and ensuring our milestones and benefits are realised.

About the Team:

We are not building another service. We are reshaping how a whole system works for children and families.

Our Families First Partnership Programme team sits at the heart of local transformation bringing together social care education health and community partners to deliver earlier help stronger relationships and better outcomes for children.

This is a team for people who want to do more than maintain systems; you will help redesign them.

• Driving the shift from crisis response to early relational family-led support
• Building integrated multi-agency practice that wraps around families; not services
• Turning national reform into meaningful local change
• Using insight data and frontline intelligence to continuously improve how we work

You will be part of a collaborative ambitious team that operates across organisational boundaries influences senior leaders and works directly with practitioners and partners to make change stick.

This is complex high-impact work. It requires curiosity credibility and the confidence to challenge and rethink how things have always been done.

About the Role:

You are a delivery-focused project manager who understands how complex local systems actually work.

You have led programmes within a local authority or across public sector partners and you know the reality of working across childrens social care education health and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. You are comfortable operating at pace translating national reform into practical delivery on the ground.

A track record of delivering complex transformation or improvement programmes within a local authority or multi-agency setting

Strong planning discipline with the ability to turn strategy into clear deliverable actions.

Confidence working with senior leaders partners and frontline teams; influencing outcomes not just reporting progress

Ability to stay grounded in practice; you understand how decisions land for families and practitioners

You will be central to delivering Families First locally shaping how partners work together and ensuring change translates into better outcomes for children and families.

You will have relevant project/programme management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner APM PMQ Agile certification) or equivalent experience.

You will join a collaborative team focused on early intervention with hybrid working professional development and the chance to improve outcomes for families.

What youll do:

• Lead planning and delivery across cross cutting projects
• Maintain programme governance RAID (risks assumptions issues dependencies) and delivery plans
• Ensure benefits savings and outcomes are tracked and escalated appropriately
• Lead assurance reporting to SLT/CSMT/Spending Control Panel
• Report to boards and senior leaders with clear actionable information
• Protect senior leadership capacity for strategic decisionmaking
• Work across Childrens Services Education Health and the voluntary sector
