Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic results oriented Production Manager to join our Insulation Greer SC team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Ensure plant meets profitable production goals and quality standards while remaining within budget limitations
  • Act as interface between plant management and production staff
  • Lead continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements using Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and other problem-solving methodologies
  • Develop production schedules and make strategic decisions to adjust programs when time or budget constraints are encountered
  • Organize and cross-train worker teams to maximize production flexibility and operational efficiency
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to assess analyze and track manufacturing processes against established goals and objectives
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance; consult with Engineering and Maintenance on necessary modifications
  • Establish and enforce comprehensive safety guidelines and procedures including conducting monthly safety meetings overseeing safety training investigating accidents and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Manage the full employment lifecycle for production personnel including hiring training performance evaluation and disciplinary actions
  • Foster workforce accountability and continuous learning through goal-setting employee empowerment regular feedback and one-on-one coaching
  • Address employee concerns and grievances in coordination with Human Resources and Plant Management
  • Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to reduce steps time and material waste

**Scope of Authority:**

Manages 20-30 employees in the Manufacturing Department with full supervisory responsibility for direction coordination and evaluation. Travel required 3-5 times per year.


Qualifications :

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field OR 5 years of progressive leadership/management experience in manufacturing
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook)
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of health safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with budgeting capital equipment analysis and cost accounting
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines
