POSITION SUMMARY
TheNew Product Development Engineerisresponsible foroverseeing thedesign of new and current Pulsafeeder products while working in a fast-paced goal-oriented team environment.It isessentialtheEngineerisexperiencedin the methods of rapid new product development anddemonstratescreativity problem solvingand independent judgement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Engineerscurrentneworderivativeproducts:
Works cross-functionally tocontributetoall aspects of adevelopment project from concept to launch.
Develops and executes atechnicaldevelopment planin accordance withPulsafeeder process.
Works with Marketing to transform requirements into product specifications.
Applies creativity and advanced Mechanical Engineering theories methods and techniques to achieve reliable andcost effectivelycompliant design.
Designs in compliance with applicable agency standards (e.g.API675 CE ATEX IECEx)
Works hands-on todeveloptest and evaluateproduct designs.
Prepares and presents project and technical design reviews.
Develops design validation test plans.Oversees/performs lab testing anddocumentstest results.
Works cross functionally with Supply Chain and Quality to evaluatepurchased andmanufacturedparts.
Participates in manufacturing work instruction creation and training.
Assistsin the development of customer facing documentation including cut sheets usermanualsand product selection guides.
Works with Sales Marketingand external customers to ensure the product solution meets the customers expectations and requirements.
Investigates preparesand implements engineering change notices.
Provides technical consultation with factory and field personnel customers and distributors.
Makes intellectual property disclosures andassistcompanywith applications.
Willing and able to undertake domestic and international travel in support of business needs.
Assistswith other projects as needed by management
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience
Highproficiencyin solid modeling and analysis (Solidworkspreferred FEA/CFD)
Working knowledge of hydraulic systems including operation designand integration of instrumentation
3-5years of experience designing mechanical systems
Intermediate knowledge of positive displacement pumps mechanical seals and electrical instrumentation
Experience designing for conventional manufacturing methods - sand investment and die casting CNC machining andinjection molded plastic manufacturing. Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) methods desirable.
Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies
Familiarity with API675 agency standards
Familiarity with DFSS DFM FMEAtoleranceanalysisand Risk Assessment methodologies
Experience delivering results through collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
Education
BS in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum3 yearsrelated design experience
Competencies

Ability to work independently and proactively to manage multiple projects
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasksassignments and projects simultaneously

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $69200.00 - $103800.00 depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
