GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Serve as the main receptionist for all people visiting calling or mailing the Administration Annex Building. This individual is often the first contact students and families have with our school district. Excellent customer service skills are of a high priority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Answer and serve correspondence to the Administration Annex.

  1. Greet and assist visitors to the Administration Annex.

  1. Manage transfer forms and the maintaining of spreadsheets for this purpose.

  1. Assist patrons at Annex for meetings with Directors FPS staff for professional development etc.

  1. Assist patrons with enrollment and/or transfer documents and paperwork.

  1. Assist in scheduling common spaces/rooms at the Administration Annex

  1. Assist with projects for Central Registration and the Administration annex

  1. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Excellent customer service skills are required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing clerical/administrative equipment operation etc plus 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers clients general public and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
