Assistant Cross Country Coach

ASSISTANT COACH GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Provide assistance with the overall supervision for all aspects of the High School sports program including but not limited to:

• Assisting in the selection of players for the team
• Maintaining the head coach with team discipline
• Maintaining WIAA standards Assist the Head Coach with individual participants in skills necessary to achieve excellence in the sport
• Modeling and encouraging good sportsmanship
• Explaining eligibility requirements and participation rules to student athletes
• Providing requested information to the athletics coordinator
• Maintaining equipment inventory and upkeep
• Assist the Head Coach in the scheduling of practice
• Assist the Head Coach in overseeing safety; recordkeeping as required
• Assist the Head Coach in overseeing transportation arrangements for team members.
