NOW HIRING:Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (APAC)

POSITION SUMMARY:

At the Rainforest Alliance we are looking for a collaborative and results oriented Finance Manager to join the Finance team. The Manager FP&A Asia Pacific (APAC) will manage the financial management and budgeting of APAC Region and report to the Director Grants Financial Management. You will work with global regional and country leadership to monitor forecast and report on the financial performance of their department programs and projects. You will develop and oversee the budgeting process for all stakeholders. You will work with department heads project managers and finance administrative and accounting staff in the countries where Rainforest Alliance operates. You will contribute to productivity and impact across the organization through financial data to help prioritize and support decision making.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Financial Management APAC Portfolio

  • Manage the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast process for the Asia Pacific department in collaboration with Country Leads Project Managers Supervisors and other department staff;
  • Produce accurate monthly budget to actuals and forecasts to budget reports at the department project country and regional levels; interpret financial information to make informed decisions;
  • Monitor expenses and revenues to ensure that the region spends according to the available revenue and that restricted/unrestricted funds are used according to RA requirements;
  • Liaise with auditors and accounting team to ensure appropriate monitoring of the organizations finances is maintained;
  • Coach regional and local project managers and country leaders to improve their financial management and budget skills;

Financial Management Grants

  • Lead the Go/No-go grant proposal process as finance representative;
  • Develop grant-proposal budget with collaboration of program and fundraising;
  • Support field teams to help them with the startup or close-out of strategic grant funded projects; address and resolve critical risks based on finance-related challenges;
  • Ensure that implementation of funded activities is in conformity and in line with the provisions and requirements of the funding sources;
  • Produce and/or review financial reports submitted to funders; ensure that submitted reports and invoices are reviewed for accuracy and include proper support documentation;

Other Management

  • Demonstrate proficiency in NetSuite (ERP) and Adaptive (budgeting) systems and maintains advanced Excel skills to ensure accurate financial reporting effective budget management strong internal controls and highâquality analytical support;
  • Ensuregeneral compliance across country officesoffinance processes policies and procedures;
  • Manage and guide junior finance staff overseeing daily activities providing guidance and supporting their professional development;
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelors degree in business administrationwith a concentration in Accounting or Finance;
  • Minimum7years experiencein financial analysis reporting and budgeting; with minimum 2 years experience directly supervising staff;
  • Advanced expertise in financial modelling and Excel;
  • Strong math analytical and technical skills;
  • Experience partnering with business unit leadership to support effective decision making through financial insights;
  • Experience with project and financial management;
  • Operate with considerable independence and as a member of a team;
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time nationally and internationally.
