Job Summary:

This position shall be responsible to:

- Support end to end sourcing vendor management and third-party risk due diligence.

- Ensure the compliance of procurement process to the applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines and internal policies and procedures of the Company and Prudential Group.

- Assist the improvement of procurement strategies methodologies operating models systems and procedures to ensure control effectiveness efficiency of processes productivity enhancements while maintaining the highest degree of integrity.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing Operations

  • Coordinate and execute end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing contract negotiation and vendor management. ensuring strict adherence to Prudential policies and relevant local financial regulations.

  • Identify evaluate and select suppliers based on quality cost delivery compliance and reliability with consideration of market standards principles set out in Prudential policies as well as local regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare the tender strategy bid proposal / award papers to document the award decision for management approval.

  • Work closely with all relevant parties and escalate when necessary to resolve underlying procurement / sourcing related issues.

  • Support the implementation of any enhancement / improvement of Procurement system and processes procurement related initiatives and influence vendors to optimize the usage of Procurement system.

Vendor Management & Third-Party Risk Support

  • Support business requesters to ensure the risks associated with the vendors / service providers are sufficiently assessed identified measured and classified before awarding / renewing the contracts.

  • Ensure the associated risks are regularly monitored mitigated and controlled by the Business Contract Owners and Business Contract Managers throughout the lifecycle of the contract to manage the ongoing third party risk exposures of existing vendors / service providers.

  • Ensure the Business Contract Owners and Business Contract Managers take full accountability for the compliance and performance of the vendors / service providers through regular and ongoing performance monitoring and review.

  • Identify and escalate to the relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) any underlying third party risk assessment related issues as and when required.

Governance & Reporting

  • Ensure procurement operational tasks (PR/PO processing) are executed timely and in full compliance.

  • Assist to identify and escalate non compliances or third party risk exposures to governance committees.

  • Support Third Party Risk Management Outsourcing Team to prepare procurement and third party risk reports for management and governance committees.

Job Specifications:

Education

  • Bachelor or Degree in any field preferably in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or Finance.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of working experience in third party governance / oversight or risk management.

  • Experience in the financial services industry such as insurance or banking or regulatory compliance will be an added advantage.

  • Experience in any Procurement system Coupa will be an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Good negotiation skills.

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.

  • Independent and possess good work ethics with a positive attitude.

  • Strict compliance with all applicable deadlines and able to work under pressure.

  • Proficiet in Microsoft Office skills.
