Job Summary
Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth this Summer were looking to add a Mold Design Engineering Intern located in our Buffalo Grove IL site.
Reporting to the Design & Engineering Manager the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assist Engineering Team with continuous improvement project(s)
- Attend Design Status Customer/Internal Review and Continuous Improvement Meetings
- Complete assigned work orders and provide 2D and 3D models
- Learn fundamentals of plastic injection mold design
- Update design guidelines and standards
- Work with the Tool Shop to obtain hands-on manufacturing experience
Student qualities were seeking for this internship assignment:
- Junior/Senior student pursuing Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment and interest in plastic injection molding process
- Highly collaborative creative and excellent communication skills
- Solidworks CAD and troubleshooting knowledge highly desired
- Previous internship experience a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
