Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist- Geriatric
Salary Range: $39-$45 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech language and swallowing abilities in geriatric patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
- Provide therapy and interventions to improve speech language and swallowing skills
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of speech language pathology
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with geriatric population
- Knowledge of common speech language and swallowing disorders in older adults
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
