Position: Speech Language Pathologist
Salary Range: $40-42 per hour
Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday
Weekend Rotation: None
New Graduates: Not eligible for this position
Job Description:
As a Speech Language Pathologist you will be responsible for evaluating diagnosing and treating individuals with speech language and communication disorders. This position requires a strong understanding of speech and language development as well as the ability to provide effective therapy to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech language and communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and client goals
- Provide therapy services to clients with various speech and language disorders including articulation fluency voice and language delays
- Collaborate with other professionals such as occupational therapists and psychologists to provide comprehensive care for clients
- Monitor and document client progress adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate clients and their families on techniques and strategies to improve communication skills
- Stay up-to-date on current research and techniques in the field of speech language pathology
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of speech and language development across the lifespan
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
