Location

This is an on-site position based in San Bernardino CA. Candidates should be local or within a realistic commuting distance especially while getting started with the firm.

Note

Must have an active California law license in good standing and litigation experience or a strong litigation-focused background. Probate trust administration or trust litigation experience is preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Handle a primary workload of civil litigation matters with probate and trust matters as needed.
• Draft pleadings motions discovery settlement documents correspondence and legal memoranda.
• Represent clients in court appearances hearings conferences and other litigation proceedings.
• Manage discovery case deadlines client communications and matter strategy.
• Conduct legal research and analyze factual and legal issues.
• Assist with trial preparation mediation preparation and case resolution strategy.
• Communicate professionally with clients courts opposing counsel vendors and third parties.
• Work closely with partners associates paralegals and support staff on active matters.
• Manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail deadlines and client service.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California law license in good standing.
• 1 years of attorney experience preferred.
• Civil litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Probate trust administration trust litigation or estate-related experience is a plus.
• Strong legal writing research analytical and oral advocacy skills.
• Comfortable working in an on-site office environment.
• Professional responsive organized and able to manage deadlines independently.
