The Survey Party Chief is responsible for leading field survey crews in the execution of boundary topographic construction ALTA and control surveys throughout Oregon State. This role oversees daily field operations ensures data accuracy and completeness maintains equipment and serves as the primary field liaison between the survey team project managers contractors and clients. The ideal candidate is technically proficient safety-focused detail-oriented and experienced in coordinating survey activities in compliance with Oregon State standards and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 years of progressive survey field experience including experience as a Crew Chief or Party Chief.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oregon State surveying practices standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency with modern survey equipment (Trimble Leica or Topcon preferred).
  • Experience with data collection software and familiarity with CAD platforms (e.g. Civil 3D).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction plans.
  • Valid Oregon State drivers license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and terrain.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Associate Degree preferred
  • Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification highly desired
  • PLSO Certified Survey Technician
  • Drafting experience in AutoCAD/Civil3D
  • Static scanning experience
  • FAA Part 107 Drone License
  • First Aid/CPR certification
