Job Summary
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. As a Network Deployment Technician at AWS you will get to help build and maintain a Cloud Computing Infrastructure across a number of data center and colocation sites in the Americas.
The role involves some periods working independently of your team and requires the ability to drive change while maintaining excellent communication.

Key job responsibilities
Installation of routers switches and DWDM hardware.
Assist in troubleshooting fiber optic and copper cabling.
Create colocation remote hand requests for new capacity installations.
Support project leads to deliver network capacity projects.
Help to resolve data center and facility issues.
Support small to mid-size network deployment projects.
Building relationships with internal and partner teams.
Participate in site audits to ensure safety and quality meets AWS standards.
Providing status updates to stakeholders via internal tools.
Physical Requirements (all physical requirements may be done with reasonable accommodations). This position has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment up to 40lbs; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.

- 2 years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- 1 years of computer networking experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
