Summarized Purpose:

Manages the preparation and development of advanced compelling proposals focused on client solutions that are aligned with commercial and operational strategy. May act as a proposal strategy lead on assigned commercial opportunities.

Essential Functions and Other Job Information:

Core Responsibilities-

  • Interprets and analyzes appropriate data to write and/or review clinical study-specific proposals that support client solutions incorporating graphics and tables as needed.
  • Works collaboratively to ensure the proposal and related documents align to operational strategy and budget; ensures the proposal response meets clients request and follows up with contributors and subject matter experts as needed.
  • Works effectively with senior leadership as contributors and/or reviewers.
  • Provides quality control and feedback on process or procedure improvement within department and/or cross-functionally.
  • Assists in identifying need for and/or managing strategic library content.
  • May mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Take ownership of proposal content quality and processes to ensure delivery of highly curated bespoke proposal to Business Development lead.

  • Frequent contacts with internal personnel and cross functional team at various management levels concerning proposal operations or scheduling of specific phases of proposal development milestones. Creates formal networks with key contacts to build professional rapport.

Qualifications Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree (Preferably in life science) or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience comparable to 8 years

  • In some cases a combination of education training and directly related experience may be considered equivalent.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent business writing skills with expertise in business proposals
  • Excellent project management skills and financial acumen related to business and operational strategy
  • Expertise in company solutions; ability to work across therapeutic areas
  • Strong ability to manage multiple activities and priorities with sound judgment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) including editing
  • Ability to translate technical/scientific information into client-friendly proposals
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking skills
  • Attention to details and understanding of business urgency
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of clinical development processes and regulatory guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite AI tools (preferable)
