The Weber Shandwick Healthcare practice is seeking an Associate to join its growing office.

What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking someone who is passionate about healthcare and making a difference in the lives of patients living with various diseases and conditions. Weber Shandwick is currently seeking an eager detail-oriented Associate for its Healthcare Practice. The ideal candidate has experience working on healthcare media relations/campaigns conducting traditional and social/digital media outreach and developing communications materials. Strong writing skills are a must

Primary Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients and team to support day-to-day communications and account management including organizing and developing agendas and recaps for client and internal meetings developing and managing timelines and monthly activity reports
  • Continually build understanding and knowledge of clients business competitive landscape and industry trends to provide thoughtful recommendations
  • Monitor analyze and develop client coverage reports leveraging industry measurement and listening tools; flag relevant and notable client industry and competitor coverage maintain coverage trackers to team and clients
  • Support campaign and program development by conducting relevant research developing materials and contributing creative ideas to initiatives planning meetings and team brainstorms
  • Manage submission of materials for medical legal and regulatory review via client review system (e.g. Veeva)
  • Participate in client and internal meetings and/or teleconferences accurately capture meeting notes next steps
  • Proactively contribute to an inclusive and integrated team culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 1-2 years Healthcare and/or PR/Media agency experience

  • Professional demeanor
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as autonomously
  • Can prioritize multiple tasks and manage time in a consistent manner
  • Resourceful proactive and effective problem solver
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Salary Range: $55000 USD $60000 USD

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on among other factors actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employees/applicants background pertinent experience and qualifications.
