The Opportunity: Building Trust Through Expertise

In a major metro Honda service department our success is measured by two things: the quality of our work and the loyalty of our guests. When a customer declines a recommendation it is often due to a lack of clarity or a missed connection.

As a Declined Services Specialist you are far more than a salespersonyou are a Brand Ambassador. Your mission is to step in immediately after a decline to ensure the customer feels heard educated and valued. While your goal is to secure the repair your priority is to ensure that the customer leaves (or hangs up) feeling confident that Mile High Honda is the only place they want to service their vehicle in the future.

What Youll Do (Primary Duties)

  • The Professional Re-Approach: Engage with customers in-person or via phone/text immediately after a service is declined. You provide a professional second look to ensure no question goes unanswered.
  • Consultative Education: You dont just sell parts; you sell peace of mind. You will handle objections by focusing on the safety and longevity of the customers Honda translating technical jargon into clear value-driven advice.
  • Prioritize the Relationship: Every interaction must be handled with the highest level of professionalism. You understand that retaining a customer for life is more valuable than a one-time sale.
  • Appointment Setting & Follow-Up: For customers not ready to commit today you will maintain a professional follow-up cadence ensuring we stay top-of-mind for when they are ready.
  • Collaboration: Work as a bridge between the technicians diagnosis and the customers needs ensuring the Honda Experience remains consistent and transparent.

The Compensation Strategy

This is a performance-driven role with a highly aggressive commission structure built on bonus gross profit. However your success is also tied to customer satisfaction. We want a closer who can protect the bottom line while protecting the dealerships reputation.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Automotive Experience: You must have a background in automotive service. You need to understand Hondas maintenance requirements and be able to explain them with authority. You need to know what a timing belt brake flush or cabin filter is and why it matters.
  • Professional Sales Grit: You are a soft-sell expert. You are comfortable with the sales process but know how to close a deal without ever making a customer feel pressured or disrespected.
  • Retention Focus: You understand that a happy customer who says no today but returns next month is a win.
  • Communication Skills: You are articulate empathetic and persuasive. Whether face-to-face or via text your tone is always professional and helpful.
  • Availability: This is a full-time position that requires Saturday shifts to support our peak guest volume.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor Sales Associate or related position
  • Organized and friendly personality
  • Time management skills
  • Fantastic communication skills with your customers
  • Professional well-groomed personal appearance.
  • Clean driving record
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
  • Serving Denver Aurora Parker Englewood Highlands Ranch Littleton and all other Colorado cities
