JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
The Commercial Business Analyst role supports the crude commercial organization through analytical support commercial evaluation and strategy development. The Analyst will support the Crude Gathering team in developing and maintaining analytical tools and reporting volume forecasting and evaluating new commercial opportunities.
The exact title will be determined based on the individual candidates skillset and applicable work experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Partner with the Crude Gathering commercial team to evaluate new large capital projects including performing quantitative analyses summarizing economics and preparing materials for decision-making.
Lead the crude gathering volume forecasting process including gathering customer outlook for upcoming wells analyzing type curves and calculating remaining inventory.
Maintain and automate analytic tools to support commercial activities including active rigs permitting activity well trends market share among others.
Lead efforts in building dashboards automating recurring reports and improving data accessibility and quality.
Evaluate new M&A opportunities that align with our broader crude strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in finance accounting engineering business or a related field.
2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking financial services corporate development commercial engineering or related industry.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to creatively model new opportunities identify trends organize data and communicate insights clearly.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint; ability to learn and use additional analytical tools (e.g. Power BI) and new systems quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail strong follow-through and a willingness to learn through hands-on work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
