About the Position

Based in Burnaby BC and reporting to the Finance Manager the Junior Financial Analyst will be part of the Western Canadian CFO team with personnel in Burnaby Chilliwack and Manitoba. The successful applicant will maintain and distribute existing reporting and analysis as related to financial and operational primary responsibilities include:

• Determine correct classification of GL coding and make necessary entries into Oracle ERP system

• Organize periodic deposits along with determination of GL coding

• Participate in the month-end close process

• Research identify and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics

• Improve upon existing and implement new reporting as requested by management

• Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decisions

• Contribute to preparation of business presentations for all levels of management

• Participate in annual budget process

• Assist in organizing building lease data and payments

• Various other ad hoc assignments as required

Position Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related field

• Entry level position requiring less than 1 year of work or internship experience; enrollment in CPA program preferred

• Intermediate MS Excel skills with practical use in finance related position

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

The expected salary range for this position is$45000to $55000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience andworking location as well as the specific positions business line scope and is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages whichinclude extended health benefits disability insurance RRSP matchingpaid-time-off benefits and eligible bonuses and commissions for some positions.
