Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is a 5-star hotel which provides 315-room accommodation a variety of food and beverage options and a variety of functions & events solutions for guests.
Next to La Boca Restaurant and Bar specialising in Argentinean cuisine the hotel offers 11 Function rooms - ideal for a wide range of events from small meetings to 300 plus large conferences.

The successful candidate must have:
- Completed Commercial Cookery Certificate 4 or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive Can do attitude enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- The flexibility to work in early shifts including during the weekends
- A solid understanding of WHS Procedures food safety standards and HACCP
About the Role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic chefs to join our dynamic kitchen team at Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and the other members of the kitchen with food production whilst ensuring quality consistency productivity and high standards at all times. Final position level (e.g. Demi Chef Chef de Partie Sous Chef etc.) to be confirmed depending on candidate skill level.
This is a dynamic hands on leadership role that offers variety challenge and the opportunity to make a real impact.
Key responsibilities and tasks consist of but are not limited to:
- Perform food Production & Preparation for F&B Operations: Preparing cooking and plating outlet or banquet menu items according to established recipes cards and Stamford standards
- Organise and operate a section of kitchen and ensure it runs efficiently and productively
- Assist the Executive Chef and Senior Chefs to lead train and inspire the kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well organised and motivated team
- Ensure the consistent delivery of quality well-presented food to our guest
- Versatile be able to work in different area of productions and ensure high quality customer service standards
- Demonstrate a working understanding of food hygiene and safety principles ensuring compliance at all times
- Conducting spot checks and recommended actions for the HACCP & Hygiene requirements across all Kitchens
Salary Range: up to 85000 Annually
