Art Technician
An Outstanding secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a creative and organised Art Technician to support their thriving Art department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant and inspiring environment where creativity is at the heart of student learning.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and maintaining materials equipment and resources for Art lessons across KS3 KS4 and KS5. You will support teachers by setting up practical activities ensuring resources are readily available and assisting in maintaining a safe and well-organised studio environment.
You will be responsible for managing stock levels ordering materials maintaining equipment such as kilns and printing tools and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently met. You may also support students during practical sessions helping to guide them in the use of materials and techniques where appropriate.
The role requires strong organisational skills creativity and a keen eye for detail. You will need to work efficiently and independently while also being an active member of a collaborative department. A passion for Art and an understanding of artistic processes will be highly beneficial.

Requirements
Experience working in an Art or creative environment (school experience desirable)
Strong organisational and practical skills
Knowledge of art materials tools and techniques
Understanding of health and safety in a workshop/studio setting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
