Operate mechanical recycling equipment per established procedure. Perform daily cleaning of recycling equipment and work area. Always maintain recycling area safe and in proper order. Keep accurate records of recycling operations. Supports Warehouse team in loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing shipments from carriers performing appropriate trailer and shipment inspection to ensure shipment integrity. Operates hand lifts and forklifts safely and as needed to handle and store palletized goods.
Work hand in hand with Warehouse team to always maintain compliance. Provide backup for Shipping and Receiving Clerk. Become proficient in receiving domestic and international shipments including hazardous and non-hazardous goods. Execute receiving/warehousing computerized tracking programs.
Be a champion for safety processes and procedures. Actively participate in the ongoing training programs. Fulfill all required learning and training experiences and pass all evaluations and assessments throughout the program.
This position requires lifting and loading cases ranging from 20-50 pounds repeatedly during work hours and pushing/pulling using from 40 - 150 pounds of force occasionally. It also requires reaching squatting and bending while delivering items in between buildings. Unloads pallets of product from the delivery vehicle with an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck and places the items in a designated area.
Primary Accountabilities:
Delivers received goods to appropriate recipients.
Keeps shipping dock and warehouse clean and organized.
Maintains facility and maintenance stock inventory in an organized fashion and in proper locations.
Performs other routine duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Willing to work overtime (8-to-9-hour shifts)
PPE- Must wear steel toe shoes.
Ability to wear required attire in certain areas such as safety shoes hairnets safety glasses and uniform.
Operating equipment (e.g. pallet jacks hand trucks breakdowns etc.)
Forklift Operator experience a plus or ability to learn.
Must be well organized capture work details and highlight any unexpected learning.
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be proactive reliable self-motivated and a team player.
Adapts quickly to change. Ability to prioritize workload.
Must be able to understand directions and work with limited supervision.
Adhere to schedule beginning at 8AM- 5pm M-F
Basic computer skills competent with or ability to learn Microsoft Office software ability to learn or experience with specialized receiving and warehousing tracking software.
Ability to understanding and knowledge of warehouse and facility Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP s)
A warehouse worker contributes to the success of the warehouse by performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials picking and filling orders from stock.
Its a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before you should understand that you will be on your feet for 90% - 95% of your shift. It also gets loud in our manufacturing and distribution centers. While we want everyone to feel comfortable our ability to control the temperature in our locations is limited. Indoor warehouse and manufacturing sites working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather it may be very hot or very cold.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers as well as collect empty pallet boards and carry them to storage
Building cardboard boxes
Pick appropriate cases according to order using required technology
Load trailers via carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer
Receive and distribute product and assist in weekly product inventory
Sorting cardboard by putting them in individual bins strapping them and rolling the bundles on a 53ft trailer using a dolly
General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you may be asked to sweep the floor help clean a trailer take out the trash etc.)
Lift objects that weigh anywhere between 15 pounds and 50 pounds (i.e. anything from a bowling ball to a twin-size mattress) with or without a reasonable accommodation
Responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials picking and filling orders from stock packing and shipping orders
Sorting cartons at case rate; clean outs load outs of cartons
Sanitation of carton area
Service of cartons to crane operator and production
Carton inventory control recycling of old cardboard
Requirements:
Ability to work on weekends holidays as well as off shift
Willing to work overtime
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to climb bend reach stoop kneel and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to repeatedly lift carry push pull and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to wear required safety attire which may include wearing a hairnet safety glasses and/or a bump cap for the duration of your workday.
PPE MUST WEAR STEEL TOES BOOTS this is required to enter the facility.
