Overview
Cargills Feed division is expanding its GenAI Discovery & Prototyping team and seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to build modern intuitive user experiences that bring GenAI concepts to life. This role focuses on connecting AI prototypes to real-world workflows used by livestock producers enabling rapid experimentation and validation of new digital capabilities.
You will support 5 8 software products partnering with engineering and product teams to test feasibility build prototypes and transition successful concepts into production delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-quality front-end applications using React (v18).
Integrate UI components with C#/.NET backend services and AI APIs (Claude GPT Copilot etc.).
Build prototypes demos and proof of concepts for internal and customer-facing evaluation.
Work with the Discovery Team to translate requirements designs and feasibility assessments into functional user experiences.
Participate in rapid 1 month project cycles to validate ideas and gather user feedback.
Contribute to engineering best practices aligned with 12 Factor principles.
Collaborate with backend engineers on LLM integrations API orchestration and agentic AI workflows.
Attend onsite demo and planning sessions 1 2 days per week (typically Tuesday and Thursday).
Required Skills & Experience
Senior-level front-end development experience.
Expert proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Working knowledge of C# service integration.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and adherence to 12 Factor engineering.
Experience building responsive user-friendly interfaces.
Ability to work in fast-paced prototyping environments.
Familiarity with GenAI concepts (deep model training expertise not required).
Nice to Have
Experience with LLMs agentic AI or AI-driven product development.
Exposure to Blazor or other C#-based UI frameworks (React is preferred).
Agriculture or livestock industry experience (not required).
Work Model & Relocation
Hybrid: 1 2 days onsite weekly in Wayzata MN.
