Nurse Manager Telemetry
Position Summary The Nurse Manager in collaboration with the Administrative Director provides leadership and operational oversight for the patient care unit ensuring the delivery of high-quality cost-effective and patient-centered care.
This role is responsible for supporting both the clinical and administrative functions of the department including organizing developing directing and evaluating nursing operations. The Nurse Manager ensures compliance with all hospital state federal The Joint Commission and American Nurses Association (ANA) standards policies and procedures.
This position maintains 24-hour accountability for staffing resources operational performance and continuity of patient care.
Key Responsibilities - Assist in the management and oversight of daily patient care operations
- Ensure safe effective and patient-centered nursing care delivery
- Support staff development education mentoring and clinical competency initiatives
- Promote compliance with regulatory accreditation and hospital standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational performance
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Support staffing coordination workflow management and resource utilization
- Maintain a strong focus on patient satisfaction and customer service excellence
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff and support personnel
- Ensure continuity of care and appropriate clinical resource management
Qualifications Education - Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related field required
- Masters Degree in Nursing Education Management or related field preferred
Experience - Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a related specialty area
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or management experience
- Working knowledge of quality improvement processes and Joint Commission standards
Licensure & Certifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required for Telemetry Nurse Manager role
- National specialty certification strongly preferred
