Laborer with CDL
Job Summary
The Laborer supports the construction installation and maintenance of Fiber telecommunications infrastructure. This role involves physical labor equipment handling and assisting crews in the field. A valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is required to transport equipment materials and crew safely to job sites. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of Fiber communication systems (cell towers antennas cables and ground equipment)
- Load transport and unload materials tools and equipment to and from job sites
- Operate company vehicles including CDL-class trucks in a safe and compliant manner
- Support crews with ground operations ( site prep cleanup etc.)
- Perform basic construction tasks such as digging trenching concrete work and site restoration
- Follow safety protocols including OSHA standards and fall protection guidelines
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain tools equipment and vehicles in good working condition
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain
- Travel to job sites as required (may include overnight stays)
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) (Class A or B depending on employer needs)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift 50 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Willingness to work at heights and in outdoor environments
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Previous experience in telecommunications construction or utility work
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g. skid steer bucket truck)
- Knowledge of RF (radio frequency) equipment and cabling
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Outdoor job sites including rooftops and remote tower locations
- Exposure to weather heights and construction-related hazards
- Frequent travel required
- Ability to stand bend climb and lift for extended periods
- Comfortable working at heights (when required)
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment
- Hourly pay based on experience
