Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format):
- Support the Pethealth team in building and enhancing fax services for customer-facing web applications.
- Design and develop resilient data storage messaging and API systems.
- Take responsibility for both development and operational components of Chewys systems.
- Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
- Participate in design reviews and perform rigorous code reviews.
- Debug and resolve production issues in Chewy services and technology stack.
- Measure analyze and optimize backend service performance effectiveness and uptime.
- Hands-on software engineering with significant time spent coding and troubleshooting.
- Apply professional software engineering practices across the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Utilize deep knowledge of object-oriented programming particularly Java8 and Spring Boot.
- Employ cloud architecture and service development experience (minimum 3 years).
- Demonstrate strong computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design data structures algorithms and complexity analysis.
- Leverage analytical and design skills with a working knowledge of design patterns.
- Design build and deploy new features as needed.
- Acquire and apply domain knowledge in the e-commerce sector.
- Requires a Bachelors Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- No background check or drug screen required.
