Job Title: Accounts & Tax Specialist – India (Mumbai Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Specialist to manage the end-to-end financial operations of the India entity under an outsourced arrangement. The role requires strong expertise in taxation statutory compliance supply chain finance and overall accounting operations with the ability to work independently within a global corporate structure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting including GL AP AR and month-end/year-end closing
- Prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with Indian regulations
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and records
- Coordinate with global finance teams for reporting and consolidation
2. Taxation & Compliance
- Handle direct and indirect taxation (GST TDS corporate tax etc.)
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns and compliance requirements
- Liaise with auditors tax consultants and regulatory authorities
- Stay updated with changes in Indian tax laws and ensure implementation
3. Supply Chain & Procurement Finance
- Oversee financial aspects of procurement logistics and inventory transactions
- Monitor cost structures vendor payments and import/export documentation
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure financial efficiency
- Ensure compliance with customs import/export regulations and documentation
4. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary finance contact for India operations
- Work closely with global finance operations and external vendors
- Manage outsourced arrangements effectively (via ITL)
- Provide insights and financial guidance to business stakeholders
5. Process Improvement & Controls
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies and global standards
Requirements
- Education: CA / Inter CA preferred
- Experience: 8–10 years in accounting taxation and compliance
- Proven experience in global/corporate environment
- Strong exposure to:
- Indian taxation (GST TDS Corporate Tax)
- Compliance & statutory reporting
- Supply chain finance / logistics / procurement
- Industry background: Manufacturing or Trading (Mandatory)
- Strong understanding of financial systems / ERP tools
