Job Title: Genetic Counselor
Location: Seattle WA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Genetic Counselor to provide outpatient counseling services specializing in hereditary cancer risk. The role involves collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to assess genetic risk factors interpret test results and deliver patient education and psychosocial support in a supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling to patients with potential hereditary cancer risks
• Conduct comprehensive cancer risk assessments and family history evaluations
• Order analyze and interpret genetic testing results
• Educate patients and families regarding genetic conditions and implications
• Deliver psychosocial support related to genetic findings and diagnoses
• Serve as a clinical resource for physicians and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions

Requirements

• Masters Degree from an accredited Genetic Counseling program (ABGC approved)
• Washington State Genetic Counselor License (provisional license acceptable to start)
• Experience in genetic disorders particularly cancer risk assessment and test interpretation
• Strong communication counseling and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in hereditary cancer genetic counseling or related clinical setting
