Shipping

Position Summary: Responsible for the safe timely and accurate shipping of items ordered and placed in specified areas of the warehouse. Load packages and check their contents to ensure they match the orders.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare shipments
• Handle all necessary paperwork prior to shipment
• Load material from production in preparation for shipments
• Inspect all the contents for damages and volume

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge: Knowledge of inventory management & control; Knowledge of quality control cost reduction materials and productions processes machine and tools.

Skills: Extremely detail-oriented and possess good math and verbal skills.

Abilities: Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints; Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion; Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems; Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.

Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job would occasionally be required to stand walk sit reach with hands and arms climb or balance stoop or kneel talk and hear and use fingers and hands to feel objects tools or controls. Work might entail significant time spent standing exposure to extreme temperatures enduring distracting/uncomfortable sounds and noise levels as well as exposure to potentially hazardous conditions and equipment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Employee may be required to climb stairs as needed to access various areas of the building. Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as work loads dictate. This may include weekdays weekends and/or holidays.

Work Environments: Job requires dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing pre-employment physical and background checks.
