We are looking for a caring energetic and creative Activity Assistant to join our memory care team. If you love working with people enjoy planning fun and meaningful activities and want to make a real difference in the lives of older adults this is the perfect role for you.

As an Activity Assistant youll help create a vibrant engaging environment where residents can stay active connected and fulfilled. Youll support the Activity Director in planning and delivering programs that honor each residents interests abilities and individuality.

What Youll Do

• Assist in planning and leading daily activity programs such as arts & crafts games music exercise educational sessions religious services and community outings
• Encourage residents to participate in group and one-on-one activities
• Help maintain accurate activity documentation (with training)
• Support the Activity Director with supply ordering receipts and monthly activity calendars
• Maintain resident preference lists precautions and activity limitations
• Help facilitate Resident Council meetings when needed
• Participate in planning special events involving residents families staff and the community
• Create a warm welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Activity certification (preferred)
• Experience in long-term care (preferred)
• Experience leading recreational or social programs within the last five years (preferred)
