Walmart Global Tech is looking to hire a seasoned Senior Data Scientist for their Personalization team in Sunnyvale CA to support the Personalization and Recommendation development efforts with our eCommerce team.

The Personalization team consists of platform application engineersscientistsand product visionaries all working together to design prototype and build technology-driven products and experiences that will change the future landscape of ecommerce. We are focused on building end-to-end customer experience from finding the product to delivering it to the customer. This will span many markets businessmodelsand form factors; therefore we are looking for data scientists who will bring not only the experiences in technologies but the curiosity and capability to innovate. What Youll Do:
- Developstate of the arttechniques in Machine Learning Personalization and Recommendation systems
- Design implement and own thestate-of-the-artMachine Learning approaches including deep learning reinforcement learning generativeAItechniques
- Collaboratewith other tech leads on top-down or bottom-up initiatives and priorities
- Develop data modelsanditerativelyimprove thembased on new data insights
- Designarchitectand iterate on data models
- Iterate challenge and accelerate best practices in Personalization and Item Recommendations
What Youll Bring:
- Masters degree/Ph.D in DataScience ComputerScienceor related fields with practicalexperience
- Expertisein Machine Learning StatisticsGeneratlive AIPersonalization and Item Recommendation algorithms
- Experiencein data science and building and evaluating large scale machine learninganddeep learning models
- Experience in designing and deploying highly scalable Recommenderssystems for e-commerce
- Curiosity instate-of-the-arttechniques in recommendation related areas
- Exceptional business acumen and problem-solving skills a demonstrated ability to prototype and implement complex AI solutions
- Outstanding communication leadership and written skills
- Strong codingskillsin Python or other related language
- Experience building scalable data pipelines using Spark Hive and/or SQL
- Experiencedesigningscalable end-to-endmodel architectures and conducting experimentsinPyTorch/TensorFlowto solve complex predictive modeling problems
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Personalization and recommendation development and implementation experience in an e-commerce environment strongly preferred
