Role Summary
The Principal Engineer provides technical leadership in wet process development leadingprojectlevelinitiatives guiding integration and transfer readiness andestablishingwet process roadmaps aligned to future NAND scaling requirements. Leads complex experiments andcrossfunctionalexecution delivering measurable results at department/site scope. Provides mentorship aligned to technical leadership expectations and strengthens documentation / SOP governance.
MainResponsibilities
Process Development & Margin Improvement
Leadprojectlevelinitiatives focused on wet process development for NAND memory technology.
Carry out complex experiments and provide integration support to enable robust process windows and yield improvement.
CrossfunctionalIntegration & Transfer
Collaborate with multiple functions tofacilitatetechnology transfer andassistin processrampupactivities.
Support corrective actions andfixing forprocess issues and ensuretransferreadiness from R&D to manufacturing.
Innovation / Supplier Engagement
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies industry trends and advancements in wet processing and characterization to inform strategy.
Engage suppliers and stakeholders to mature process capability (e.g. vapor etch wet strip dry strip selective chemical etching).
Monitoring Control & Documentation (Governance)
Maintainaccuraterecords;prepare comprehensive technical reports; contribute to SOPs and knowledge management systems.
Ensure safety quality standards and IP protection compliance.
Other Responsibilities
Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.
Represent the function in technical forums and strategiccollaborations;benchmark against industry standards.
Identifyemerging trends/risks/opportunities and recommend future investments/critical initiatives.
Integrates AIassistedtools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency quality or effectiveness exercising sound judgment andcomplying withorganizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement byidentifying testing and sharing AI enabled enhancements within ones scope of work.
Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
PhD5yrs or Masters 7yrs or Bachelors 10yrsof relevant experience in
Electrical Engineering Materials Science Chemical Engineering Physics or related field
Withdemonstratedexperience in Wet Process research & development in semiconductor technology development
MusthaveTechnical Skills
Possess a deep understanding of the process technologies such as Vapor etch wet strip dry strip selective chemical etching etc.
Familiarity with electrical evaluation methods andfabmetrology tools (e.g. CDSEM thickness measurement particle counters).
DOE / SPC and data analysis systems (e.g. Y3)to analyzeexperimental outcomes.
Working knowledge of memory process flow (planar vertical NAND context).
