POSITION TITLE: ESA/TITLE I STUDENT SUPPORT INTERVENTIONIST
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Education Social Work or a related field.
- Valid Arkansas teaching certificate
REPORTS TO:Building Principal
JOB GOAL: Provide targeted academic social-emotional and behavioral interventions to at-risk students aimed at closing achievement gaps. Collaborate with teachers families and community agencies to implement individualized support plans to monitor student progress and to ensure compliance with federal program regulations often focusing on school-wide reform strategies.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver direct specialized instruction or tutoring to students often through push-in or pull-out methods focusing on ready and mathematics.
- Conduct individual or group counseling on topics such as conflict mediation crisis intervention social skills and anger management.
- Track student performance data (grades attendance behavioral data) to analyze effectiveness and adjust support plans.
- Act as a liaison between families and the school providing resources hosting meetings and improving family engagement.
- Ensure that activities comply with federal Title I guidelines. Help with transitions for students (e.g. pre-school to elementary)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop classroom-based intervention and prevention strategies.
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individual service plans for at-risk students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and program activities.
- Refer students and families to administration school counselor or school mental health provider as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule
Length: 190 days per contract year
