Were looking for a Project Manager to join our Construction team in Invercargill. With a strong pipeline of Civil and Three Waters projects coming to market across Southland this role will support both tendering new work and delivering projects on the ground.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Project Manager youll be involved across the full project lifecycle from contributing to tenders and precontract planning through to delivering Civil and/or Three Waters projects across the region. This is a hands on role suited to someone who is confident running projects day to day working closely with site crews subcontractors and clients. Youll split your time between site and office taking ownership of safety programme budget and quality outcomes.

- Contribute to tender submissions including pricing input methodologies and risk identification
- Deliver Civil and/or Three Waters projects from award through to completion
- Manage project programmes budgets forecasting and cost control
- Coordinate site teams plant materials and subcontractors
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Champion health safety quality and environmental standards across all activities
Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga - Were looking for someone with
- BE or NZCE or significant construction delivery industry experience (Diploma in Engineering or relevant industry)
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil construction and/or Three Waters
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across civil and Three waters including earthworks pavements concrete structures stormwater wastewater and associated infrastructure delivery.
- Experience supporting or contributing to tenders and transitioning into delivery
- Sound knowledge of contract administration and commercial management
- Have proven leadership experience in developing mentoring and growing high-performing teams across operational and project environments. Including subcontractors
- A practical safetyfocused approach to project delivery
- Strong organisational communication and problemsolving skills
- Understand relevant standards specifications legislation and compliance obligations with the ability to guide teams through quality safety and environmental requirements
- Understand and can administrate relevant NZ commercial models and frameworks i.e. NZS3910 NZS3916
