About the role:
As an IT Apprentice youll play a key role in supporting the daily operations of BuildStore IT department. Working closely with the IT Manager youll gain hands-on experience maintaining systems resolving technical issues and supporting ongoing IT projects. Youll study towards a nationally recognised qualification while developing practical workplace-ready skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to internal users across the business.
- Assist with installing configuring and maintaining hardware software and network devices.
- Support the management of servers cloud systems and user access controls.
- Monitor and maintain IT systems performance backups and security.
- Log and document IT issues resolutions and system updates.
- Support IT improvement projects and technology rollouts.
- Help enforce data protection cybersecurity and compliance standards.
- Liaise with suppliers and external service providers when required.
- Deliver excellent internal customer service and clear communication.
- Manage and maintain the support ticket desk.
You will need the following skills:
- A genuine passion for technology and IT problem-solving.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows systems.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Salary: 19050 per annum.
Working hours: 30 hours per week Monday to Thursday 9am - 4:30pm Friday 9am - 1pm.
