Job Summary
Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Scientist II to join our team in Greenfield IN.
Work Schedule:Tuesday - Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
**This will require a minimum of 3 months training which will require the schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.**
Job Responsibilities:
- Organizes and conducts routine and non-routinesampleanalysisin compliance with applicable methods protocols SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Documents work andmaintainsstudy documentation and laboratory records.
- Sets upoperatesand performs routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment.
- Supports local department archiving needs including paper data management and archival
- Provides input andparticipatesin project meetings plansmonitorsandguidesproject work.
- Performs QC review of data.
- Informs Study Director Principal Investigator and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect the integrity of the data andparticipatesin corrective action of problems.
- Contributes towards a cohesive team environment.
- Learnstoassistin setting upfor and performing validation of various Immunotoxicology assays.
- Learnstroubleshooting ofinstrumentation.
- Maintains awareness and compliance with all safety directives and safety proceduresin accordance withthe regulations.
- Accepts responsibility in ensuringcleanand safe laboratory work environment.
- Trains andassistsless experienced staff prioritize workloadson a daily basiscontributing to a team environment and culture of care.
- Contributes to updating SOPs/AP/WD.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives.
- Participatesin client visitsand inspectionsas needed.
- Evaluates data for report preparation and experiment modification as directed.
- Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.
- Builds competency in a comprehensive range of I&I procedures.
- Considersfinancial implicationsofongoing activities.
- Exercisesandmaintainslevels of competenceintegrityand interpersonal skills toattainregulatory and quality goals
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Biology or related life science.
- 1 or more years experience in cell handling
- 1 or more years experience in flow cytometry
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of experience in plate based worked
