Division Specific Information:

• This role is in the Single Use Division and will be performed at our Logan Utah location.

How You Will Make an Impact:

As a Maintenance Automation & Controls Technician I you will work with sophisticated equipment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal production performance. You will resolve technical issues answer emergency calls and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that help us deliver essential products to our customers worldwide. Day in the Life:

• Complete mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Perform instrument calibrations and adjustments while maintaining validated specifications.
• Utilize CAD software and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use organizational skills to prioritize various projects.
• Use communication skills to work with multiple departments.
• Use various tools and equipment including computers measuring tools meters and other troubleshooting tools.
• Complete preventative scheduled and unscheduled maintenance calibrations troubleshooting and installations on new and existing industrial equipment.
• Understand the operation and maintenance procedures for equipment including calibration.
• Follow safety standards Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements company operating procedures and policies.
• Participate in Practical Process Improvements (PPI) activities.
• Work effectively to consistently meet goals as an individual and as part of a team.
• Focus on personal development through timely completion of training.
• Adhere to schedule to meet maintenance goals.
• May need to work nights weekends and holidays to complete projects or to respond to after-hour calls.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business and operational needs.

Education & Experience:

• Associates degree and 2 years of related experience OR
• Bachelors degree and no previous related experience required OR
• High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related experience
• Preferred experience: engineering technology or a Bridgerland Technical College Controls Engineering certification.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

• Competency in using computers Microsoft Office products inventory management systems and CAD software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Read and understand written materials including words pictures and numbers.
• Accurate counting sorting calculating and measuring using tools like calculators and rulers.
• Ability to understand chemical safety including interpreting labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Maintain a valid drivers license.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards.
• This is a fully on-site role.
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm overtime and on call as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment up to 12 hours a day with additional overtime as required.
• This role may be required to spend time in the cleanroom which is a controlled environment. Cleanrooms do not allow hair products jewelry makeup nail polish perfume exposed piercings etc. The cleanroom is controlled at greater than 30% humidity with a temperature between 60º and 70º.
• Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required including steel-toed boots high visibility gear safety glasses gowning hair/beard coverings gloves lab coat ear plugs electrically rated NFPA 70e clothing etc.
• Work environments may include: maintenance shop laboratory warehouse office cleanroom.
• Ability to stand and walk for full shift reach bend twist stoop push and grasp while performing tasks.
• Ability to use hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping grasping pushing pulling and repetitive motion.
• Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Loud noises (Equipment/Machinery).
• Willingness to travel as required (<25% anticipated).
