About the role
The Vendor Relations Manager is responsible for developing managing and maintaining positive relationships with the organizations vendors and suppliers. This role ensures that vendor performance meets company standards negotiates contracts and pricing resolves disputes and supports business goals by ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and vendors.
- Establish and maintain long-term vendor partnerships that support strategic goals.
- Conduct RFPs Manage Price increases negotiate contracts to favorable terms.
- Launch New Customers.
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Resolve vendor-related issues such as delivery delays quality concerns or billing discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal departments (procurement finance operations etc.) to identify vendor needs and assess vendor documentation contracts and performance metrics.
- Evaluate potential new vendors based on capability reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Occasional travel for vendor meetings or site visits may be required.
What we need from you
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 25 years of experience in vendor management procurement supply chain or a related role.
- Experience negotiating pricing and managing vendor performance.
- Strong communication negotiation decision making and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and vendor management systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-Motivator
Prefered Qualifications
- Experience in the Waste and Recycling industry.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and performance management tools.
