Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner who has built and shipped AI-native products. You will own product direction backlog and outcomes for an AI-powered knowledge and workflow system being built for a US-based media and technology client. The role demands someone who understands the unique dynamics of AI product development probabilistic outputs continuous iteration feedback-driven improvement and evaluation as a core discipline. You will work embedded within a Global Capability Centre model directly alongside the engineering team and the clients internal stakeholders driving the product from early pilot through to scaled deployment.
Key Responsibilities
AI Product Ownership
- Own the product vision backlog and delivery outcomes across all phases of an AI-native system
- Define scope with a clear understanding that AI product boundaries are different outputs are probabilistic behaviour evolves with data and iteration is continuous
- Design and own the human-in-the-loop layer as a product problem make deliberate decisions about where human judgment is essential and how feedback from human intervention improves the system over time
- Establish evaluation criteria for AI features measure output quality retrieval relevance and business impact
- Drive the product feedback loop synthesise usage data and human feedback and translate insights into the next iteration
Discovery & Requirements
- Lead discovery with client stakeholders elicit challenge and validate requirements with a product mindset
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear well-scoped product specifications the engineering team can act on
- Define data requirements for AI features sources quality thresholds labelling needs and evaluation datasets
- Map existing workflows and identify where AI assistance adds genuine value vs. where it introduces unnecessary complexity
Delivery Stakeholder Management & Client Engagement
- Serve as the primary product interface between the clients internal teams and the GCC delivery team
- Facilitate working sessions sprint reviews and product demos articulating AI system behaviour clearly to business and product stakeholders
- Own the product backlog end-to-end prioritisation refinement and sequencing across all active workstreams
- Drive sprint planning and backlog grooming in close collaboration with the Tech Lead
- Manage scope priorities and expectations proactively escalate risks and decisions that require client input early and with clarity
- Own the definition of done for AI features ensure delivered features meet business intent and quality thresholds
Tech Stack & Tools
- Delivery: Jira Azure DevOps or equivalent
- Documentation: Confluence Notion or equivalent
- AI Familiarity: Hands-on product experience with LLM-based systems RAG pipelines agentic workflows and human-in-the-loop design
- Collaboration: Async-first cross-timezone communication Slack MS Teams
