Job Title: Admissions Counselor Online Students (Remote)

Division: Enrollment and Marketing

Reports To: Director Adult and Online Enrollment; Assistant Director Adult and Online Enrollment

The remote admissions counselor for online students proactively contacts and/or responds to inquiries from potential online students to discuss their educational goals and provide information about the benefits of attending Lindenwood University. This position recruits onboards and supports students from inquiry to enrollment and coordinates with Student Financial Services (SFS) Admissions and Academic Affairs to ensure a streamlined and user-friendly process. The admissions counselor also delivers upon the Universitys vision to be the next great learner-centric university by providing unparalleled service delivery.

The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution

• Spends at least eighty percent (80%) of every shift interacting with a high volume of potential students using telephone text email video conferencing etc.; follows applicable conversation guides to build relationships with students help them realize their potential and guide them to an enrollment decision
• Discovers students educational interests and searches applicable database(s) and other resources to provide them with personalized program offerings
• Identifies potential obstacles to a students ability to pursue their educational goals; addresses obstacles in an effort to ensure a positive and seamless student experience
• Responds to new inquiries within two minutes or less and moves students through the enrollment funnel within 48 hours
• Advises potential and/or current students regarding enrollment transferability and applicability of previously earned college credits degree program options and requirements cost of attendance and University policies and procedures
• Makes admissions recommendations based on a holistic review of academic profile and extracurricular qualifications
• Represents University admissions at school visits community events college fairs and all other recruitment initiatives
• Meets recruitment goals and adheres to departmental policies for student outreach
• Complies with federal state institution and accreditation policies and procedures
• Maintains accurate records and data on applicants and admitted students
• Adheres to University policies regarding travel and procurement

• Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
• Models supports and holds others accountable to the Universitys values
• Serves as a student concierge listening attentively to students needs providing solutions and connecting them with appropriate supporting departments

Communication Teamwork and Collaboration

• Evaluates effectiveness of programs assesses outcomes and develops improved programming for the University; identifies opportunities for process improvements and shares student feedback with relevant departments
• Communicates and tracks all correspondence with current and prospective students within the appropriate application
• Collaborates with University departments and academic schools to provide superior student service
• Assists other recruitment divisions to meet departmental needs and goals

Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.

• Bachelors degree
• Valid drivers license and/or reliable transportation
• Minimum of 2 years experience in sales or recruitment preferred
• Experience in post-secondary education recruitment preferred
• Masters degree preferred
