Job Summary
Special Education Assistant
Central Elementary
2026/2027 SY
Position Goal:
To assist in the delivery of high-quality instruction student care and support services that promote success safety and well-being for all students across grade levels and programs. Educational Assistants provide instructional behavioral and physical support under the supervision of licensed staff to ensure equitable access to learning for every student.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hold or qualify for a NMPED Educational Assistant License (Level III).
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading writing and mathematics.
- Pass required background check in accordance with 2022 NM Legislative House Bill 128.
- Participate in all required pre-employment and annual training.
