Job Summary
Part-time Project Assistant (at the rank of Laboratory Assistant) in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics School of Public Health (Ref.: 536208) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should have completed Form 5 or above. Diploma or above in healthcare related disciplines would be desirable but not a must. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin which is a plus) as well as proficiency in Microsoft applications (especially Excel). Applicants should be reliable detail-oriented and able to work independently. They should have good organizational skills effective communication abilities and a strong sense of responsibility in handling both logistical and administrative tasks. Applicants should also be motivated to support research activities and committed to maintain confidentiality and safety standards. Prior experience in administrative support or laboratory environments would be considered an advantage.
The appointee will work on a research project and be responsible for couriering laboratory samples between designated facilities performing administrative duties such as record-keeping scheduling and documentation and assisting in the coordination of project activities. He/She will also facilitate communication among team members and ensure compliance with institutional safety and confidentiality protocols. Irregular working hours may be required occasionally.
