Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) who can function independently in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires strong clinical skills the ability to manage a full patient load and the capability to step into a Charge Nurse role when needed. The unit serves a wide patient population across the lifespan requiring broad clinical competency.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to MS/Tele patients
- Manage patient assignments with a ratio of 1:6
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
- Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed
- Document all care accurately in the EMR
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing
- Previous Charge Nurse experience required
- Ability to work independently and manage a full patient load
- BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
