Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and resolution for generator and electrical system issues affecting the global installed fleet.
• Lead and support investigations into complex field issues determining root cause and recommending corrective actions.
• Respond to Engineering Requests (ERs) with urgency accuracy and strong technical judgment.
• Identify recurring issues and support development of fleet-wide countermeasures to improve reliability and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering Product Management Regional Customer Support Engineering Manufacturing and Sourcing to align on technical solutions.
• Develop and communicate technical guidance through internal and external communication channels such as TILs ETCs and customer presentations.
• Share technical expertise and lessons learned across the global Product Service organization.
• Support continuous improvement in technical response service processes and issue resolution methods.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Experience with generator-related electrical systems such as excitation systems LCI protection systems terminal enclosures MV cells electrical auxiliaries and transformers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Eligibility Requirements

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required including on short notice.
• Willingness to support urgent issue resolution outside standard working hours including weekends when needed.

Desired Characteristics

• Gas Power Edison Engineer; Completion of LPX Teardown Training; Progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or ACE Certificate
